Ear infection and fever and teeth, oh my!

Whew! What a week. Brett was on his death bed (or so he thought!) with bronchitis and a sinus infection and Micah had her first ear infection. Every month, I kind of internally count my blessings that she has escaped an ear infection but this month caught up with us! Poor little girl...it started out as conjunctivitis in her eyes, which in turn lead to an ear infection. The only good thing about her first ear infection was the fact that she liked the bubble gum medicine (amoxicillin) she had to take twice a day! She has been known to be quite the "gagger" when it comes to taking medicine. Almost as soon as we got her ear infection under control, she developed a really high fever (104.4!), which the doctor thinks was coming from her soar, blistery throat. This was the saddest thing, y'all....she would just lay lifeless in our arms making the most pitiful sounds. We gave her a cool bath in hope that it would lower her body temp and it seemed to do the trick. On top of her high fever, she was cutting FOUR teeth! Two bottom and two top. The girl could NOT catch a break, I'm telling you! Now that things are finally past us, I'm kind of glad she cut all four of her teeth at once....maybe we'll be done with the teeth cutting for a while. I really miss her gummy grin but her new teethy grin is just as cute! Anyway- cheers to no more sickness in the Unger home for a while, please!
